Founded in 2018, Verdant Earth Technologies is an Australian hydrogen, renewable energy asset and technology developer.

Verdant’s vision is to secure our net-zero, hydrogen-powered future. Its focus lies in decarbonising our economy through a network of green hydrogen projects, developing our net-zero energy infrastructure and accelerating the uptake of green hydrogen in Australia and beyond.

Its first facility, the Verdant Energy Hub – Hunter Valley, is currently being repurposed to be the largest green power generator in Australia (excluding hydrogeneration). It will produce more green power over a year than the largest existing solar farm, providing much needed firming capacity to the grid.

Innovative Hydrogen Production for the Energy Transition

Established in 1867, Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) is a global leader in renewable, environmental and thermal technologies. B&W’s ClimateBright™ decarbonisation technologies can capture carbon dioxide (CO2) and produce hydrogen and other beneficial byproducts to support industry’s critically important low carbon initiatives and the energy transition.

Our innovative BrightLoop™ hydrogen technology can be used for a wide range of applications utilising a variety of feedstocks, such as biomass, biogas, natural gas, coal, refinery byproducts, methane and other industrial process off-gases and materials, to convert into multiple products.

The BrightLoop system is highly scalable and can be applied to a range of industrial processes delivering a net zero outcome through the production of hydrogen, synthesis gas (syngas) for transportation, and other renewable uses including steam for power and process.

The Brightloop process also inherently isolates CO2 for storage/sequestration or beneficial use.
